About Getz Hardwood Flooring: Philadelphia's Trusted Flooring Experts Since 1995

Getz Hardwood Flooring started in 1995 when my father, who was in the floor machine equipment business for 30 years, passed away. I got to know many of his clients—hardwood flooring contractors. Intrigued by the contractor side of the business, I was constantly asking questions.

I befriended one of those contractors, and he took me under his wing, bringing me out on many of his jobs and teaching me the trade hands-on. A year or two later, he retired and sold me his business.

Fortunately, in that time frame, I met somebody who was working for another company with 20-plus years of experience. We pretty much hit it off and started working with each other. So with his experience and connections, my business just took off.
